While we are in this transformative moment, where so many of us are thinking of what we can do to have a positive impact on our society and counter systemic racism, I wanted to draw some attention to the work of the Equal Justice Initiative.
The US has the highest rate of incarcerated youth in the industrialized world. Children as young as eight years old can be charged with adult crimes and held in adult jail, something EJI is fighting to oppose.
